It seems that parents have everything they need. We as grown children have to think about what they can’t get themselves. Sisters teamed up for an extended family portrait as a present for Mom and Dad this holiday season. We met at the Des Plaines Forest Preserve and started our session in the leaves. What is better then looking at images of your children and grandchildren everyday!
The idea is to end up with a new gallery wall that will showcase old images combined with the new images as well as some artwork from the grandchildren and leave room to grow. Next session will include Grandma and Grandpa for a large image of the extended family. Looking forward to heading out to the Forest Preserve with them again this year!
Sometimes we will use some stock room images to help visualize a space.
We ended the session by photographing each kid with their special friends. Each of these will be framed and displayed in their homes. Sometimes special friends change as kids grow, sometimes they are still laying on their bed when they turn 12, either way this is a big part of the stage of their life that they are in now. We all remember carrying around our favorite dolls, toys and special blankets. I like to get those documented for the kids after their portraits are complete. These are the ones they will be showing off in 20 years 🙂
